Kenny Golladay has been an underwhelming fantasy football option all season, and the latest update on his hip injury makes him an easy choice to bench in Week 3.

Golladay is active for the New York Giants' matchup with the Atlanta Falcons, but he's expected to be limited.

There are already simply too many mouths to feed in this offense. Sterling Shepard is the clear top option in the passing game with a team-high 19 targets. The backfield (Saquon Barkley, Devontae Booker, Gary Brightwell and Elijhaa Penny) has seen 10 targets. Those roles are firmly established.

That leaves Golladay, Darius Slayton, Kyle Rudolph and now Evan Engram competing to be fantasy relevant with just 58% of the team's targets. That's not a favorable situation in this Giants offense, even with Daniel Jones (516 yards, 2 touchdowns, 0 interceptions) playing well.

Even at full health Golladay would be a shaky fantasy option, despite playing against a terrible Atlanta Falcons defense.

If anything, fantasy managers should be happy about this injury update, as it makes the decision to bench Golladay a very clear-cut one.
