After dealing with an ankle injury throughout the week, New York Giants wide receiver Kadarius Toney appears to have aggravated the injury early in Week 6.

Kadarius Toney Injury Update

On the Giants' first drive against the Los Angeles Rams, Toney left the game after re-injuring his ankle. Now, the Giants have officially ruled him out for the reminder of this Week 6 contest.

Sterling Shepard Fantasy Outlook

This latest injury update has big implications for Sterling Shepard and the rest of New York's receiving corps.

On the first drive, Toney caught 3-of-3 targets for 36 yards before exiting the contest. Shepard is the next in line on New York's depth chart, and could see an uptick in targets throughout the game.

The Giants are already without Kenny Golladay and Shepard ranks third on the team in targets (22). He's turned those 22 targets into 18 receptions for 223 yards and one score. Having only played in three games thus far, Shepard leads the team with an average of 73.4 receiving yards per contest.
