Sunday featured a signature performance by Minnesota Vikings wide receiver Justin Jefferson. He torched the Chicago Bears for a career-high 12 receptions, along with 154 yards and a two-point conversion.
Jefferson's masterclass against Chicago helped him break yet another franchise record held by Minnesota great Randy Moss.
The LSU product has passed Moss for the most catches by a Vikings player over their first three seasons. Jefferson entered the contest with 224, and his 12 receptions on Sunday pushed him past Moss' mark of 226 with ease.
Week 5 was Jefferson's third game already in 2022 with at least 147 yards, which is a staggering feat in just five contests. He went for 9 receptions and 184 yards in Week 1, then exploded again last Sunday for 10-147.
The third-year pro looks well on his way to another monstrous season after setting career bests across the board in 2021. Jefferson is now up to 40 receptions and 547 yards along with 2 touchdowns this year following Sunday's efforts.
Jefferson is in a great spot to keep things going in Week 6 against a vulnerable Miami Dolphins defense. Opening NFL odds on FanDuel Sportsbook peg the Dolphins as slight 1-point favorites in that matchup.
