After an impressive NFL Combine performance, Justin Herbert's draft stock continues to hold steady. The Oregon product is projected by many to go early in the first round as the third-best quarterback prospect behind Joe Burrow and Tua Tagovailoa.

Herbert has impressed teams with his arm strength and athleticism. The 6-foot-6 quarterback profiles as a classic pocket passer with plenty of potential. Last season at Oregon, Herbert threw for 3,471 yards and 32 touchdowns to just 6 interceptions. Of the many quarterback-needy teams at the top of the draft, here are the places where Herbert is most likely to land.

Justin Herbert Draft Projection

The Los Angeles Chargers have publicly stated that the Philip Rivers era is over, which means they will be looking for a quarterback for the first time since 2006. With the Chargers picking sixth overall and Tagovailoa likely going in the top five, they are in a good position to take Herbert. Herbert would get to stay on the West Coast and immediately compete for a starting role in an offense with talent at wide receiver and running back. This makes the most sense of any of the destinations.

2. Carolina Panthers

The Panthers are picking seventh overall, and their quarterback situation remains in flux as Cam Newton recovers from foot surgery and remains the subject of trade rumors. With Matt Rhule now in charge, the Panthers could choose to start fresh and take Herbert to restart the franchise. The Panthers stand to save a lot of cap space by moving on from Newton and the other options on the roster, like Kyle Allen and Will Grier, have not been impressive.

3. Las Vegas Raiders

No one knows what the Raiders are planning to do at quarterback this offseason. There is speculation that they could stick with Derek Carr, make a run at Tom Brady, or even use their large amount of draft capital to trade up for a quarterback. The Raiders have enough ammunition that they could make a deal with the Detroit Lions at No. 3 or New York Giants at No. 4 to go after Herbert and still sign a free agent quarterback on a short-term deal to give Herbert time to prepare. With their move to Las Vegas finally complete, the Raiders could be looking to kick things off in their new city by drafting a new face of the franchise.
