JuJu Smith-Schuster has spent the first five years of his career with the Pittsburgh Steelers, peaking in his second year with 111 catches and more than 1,400 yards. Now, for the first time, JuJu will be entering unrestricted free agency this offseason, and after down years in 2019 and 2020, followed by an injury riddled 2021, it appears he is on his way out of Pittsburgh.

There was always a feeling over the last year-plus that it would go this way, but JuJu all but confirmed it via an instagram post on Tuesday.

He posted an image with the caption "It's been real Pitt!"

That certainly reads like a farewell to a city form a player entering free agency. Pittsburgh has always had the ability to draft talented wide receivers, especially finding value outside the first round. JuJu was another example of that in a long line of Pittsburgh wide receivers of the past two decades or more.

With Chase Claypool, Diontae Johnson and James Washington still in the fold in Pittsburgh, it's easy to see why they would be willing to let JuJu walk, especially on a team that has so many other areas in needs to improve on the offensive line, defense and now, at quarterback.

Where JuJu will play next season is still anyone's guess, with the offseason still not officially underway, but according to JuJu, it certainly doesn't seem like it will be in Pittsburgh.
