Josh Gordon has been reinstated to the NFL. He won't be eligible to return until Week 16, but when he's back he'll rejoin the Seattle Seahawks, who he played for down the stretch in 2019.
However, because he won't be active until the standard fantasy football championship week, he's not worth picking up in all but the deepest of fantasy leagues.
Josh Gordon Fantasy Football
Even if Gordon was going to be active in Week 13, he'd be difficult to trust. At best, Gordon would be used as Seattle's No. 3 option in the passing game. He filled that role over five appearances with the Seahawks in 2019, seeing a total of 11 targets for 7 catches and 139 yards.
Gordon still looked explosive on occasion, but that's just not enough volume to put him on the fantasy football radar. Given his performance in 2019, fantasy managers couldn't start Gordon with any confidence once he's back in Week 16.
Considering the timing of this news, and all the inherent risks that come with relying on Gordon in fantasy, he's just not worth rostering in most fantasy formats. He's likely to have a more significant impact on the Seahawks than your fantasy team.
