Howard's performance appears to have solidified a definite role even when Sanders is back, making him a priority add on the waiver wire.
Jordan Howard Fantasy Outlook
The results speak for themselves: Howard has racked up 128 yards and 3 scores on 29 rushing attempts over the last two games. He's hit at least 13.0 PPR points in that span despite seeing 0 targets in the passing game.
Howard tied for the team high with Boston Scott in carries (12) during Week 8. He then saw 17 carries -- compared to 10 for Scott -- against the Los Angeles Chargers, recording 71 yards and a score.
Howard's snap count also notably rose from Week 8 (25%) to Week 9 (40%), showcasing a growing role within the offense. And he directly cut into Kenneth Gainwell's rushing work, as the rookie went from 12 carries last week to just 2 totes on Sunday.
With Sanders still sidelined and the Eagles putting an emphasis on the ground game, Howard is a must-add for fantasy managers. The fact that he's rostered in just 13% of Yahoo leagues means most managers have a shot at adding the starter-worthy talent, and he could have FLEX potential even when Sanders does return.
