Tennessee Titans tight end Jonnu Smith is one of the most intriguing free agent tight ends available this offseason. The fluctuating 2021 NFL cap means his team might not have enough funds to re-sign him, opening the door for a contender to add what could be a missing piece to their offense.

With that in mind, here are three likely destinations for Smith in free agency.

Jonnu Smith Free Agency

3. Green Bay Packers

Aaron Rodgers loves himself tight ends who can score, and Smith just recorded a career-high 8 TDs in 2020. Rodgers was able to help little-known Robert Tonyan catch 11 TD passes this season, so just imagine the damage that the three-time MVP could do with Smith if they link up in 2021. Tonyan and Mercedes Lewis are both free agents as well, giving the Packers a chance to make their disgruntled QB happy with an upgrade at tight end.

2. Indianapolis Colts

The Indianapolis Colts are flush with top-three cap space this offseason and look destined to contend, giving them a chance to be major players for any free agent they desire. Smith could be worth the investment. Besides touchdown scores, the 25-year-old also posted career highs in receptions (41) and yards (448), showcasing his potential. Indy is still figuring out their starting QB situation, but signing Smith would make any incoming quarterback's job a lot easier. The Colts do have some decent contributors at TE in Jack Doyle, Mo Alie-Cox and Trey Burton, but Alie-Cox and Burton are hitting free agency this offseason. And Smith has a higher ceiling than any of those three.

1. Buffalo Bills

The Buffalo Bills could be just a piece or two away from reaching the next level in 2021. While the Bills had one of the league's top passing offenses this year, it fell short in the AFC Championship, and it's clear they should invest in another weapon to complement Stefon Diggs and Cole Beasley. Enter Smith, a physical force at 6-foot-3, 248 pounds. He'd give rising star Josh Allen a powerful presence in the middle of the field, and he could become a go-to option for the QB when defenses hone in on the wideouts. Adding Smith to this group would be a nightmare for opposing defenses.
