Johnny Manziel Takes Shot at Darren Rovell After Being Insulted on Twitter

The story of 27-year-old Johnny Manziel is far from over, but so far it's been a tough one. From shining in the national spotlight in college to being a bust in the NFL to off-field issues that include domestic violence allegations and revealing to the world that he has been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, Manziel's last decade has been a roller coaster.
Sports business reporter Darren Rovell decided to kick Manziel while he's down on Twitter, and Manziel was quick to fire back.

There is definitely an interesting story in how A-Rod and Manziel's trajectories were so distinctly different after their Sports Illustrated covers, but it's also possible to tell that story without taking pot-shots at either one.
And with two million Twitter followers, Rovell had to know that Manziel would eventually see the dig.

Manziel is probably going to catch some flack for the profane way in which he responded to Rovell, but it's hard to fault him for being upset by such an unnecessary insult.
