Joel Embiid isn't getting a lot of help from his teammates this year, which have resulted in some massive performances for the Philadelphia 76ers big man.

Embiid had another one on Tuesday night, erupting for 48 points and 10 rebounds in a monster double-double against the Washington Wizards. He also passed an NBA legend in the process.

Embiid surpassed Wilt Chamberlain for the second-most games with 40+ points in 76ers franchise history. Given Chamberlain's status as one of the most prodigious scorers in NBA history, that's quite an accomplishment.

It's even more impressive given that Embiid is only 28 years old and in his seventh NBA season. Chamberlain only spent three and a half seasons with Philadelphia during the 1960s, but the game has changed considerably since then and big men are no longer as dominant with the advent of the three-pointer.

Embiid has now cleared 40 points 32 times in his career, but he still has a long way to go before he catches Sixers icon Allen Iverson, who did so 76 times during his 12 campaigns with Philly. If Embiid stays healthy and doesn't change teams mid-career, he certainly has a shot at the rate he's going.
