Jevon Holland kicked off his NFL career with a bang in 2021 as he instantly made an impact in the Miami Dolphins' secondary. However, it turns out Holland's Dolphins tenure didn't get off to the greatest start.

Holland revealed to the media during a recent interview that he had an unfortunate encounter with a frog when he first arrived in Miami.

The then-Dolphins rookie went for a jog to get used to his new area, but it was cut short after the safety saw a frog big enough to be mistaken for an alligator. He then promptly ran back to his hotel.

This story is downright hilarious. Holland admitted he was "nervous" about being in a new place, but it's hysterical to think about a football player scurrying away from a harmless frog.

In Holland's defense, it's clear he isn't familiar with Florida's wildlife. He was born in British Columbia, played high school ball in California, and went to school in Oregon. His reaction is likely typical for anyone first caught off guard by the critters of Florida.

It's great to know the rookie's first taste of Miami didn't scare him off completely. He's set to play an important role as a playmaker in the Dolphins' secondary once again as the team looks to make the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
