Jeremy Lin Returns to Familiar Ground in Hopes of Making NBA Comeback

Jeremy Lin has had his sights set on an NBA comeback since last playing for the evenutal Finals champion Toronto Raptors during the 2018-19 season. Lin last appeared during an NBA game in Game 3 of the 2019 Finals, meaning he's been away from the league for over a year and a half.
However, Lin is taking the next step toward a comback. He's heading to the G League to play for the Golden Warriors' affiliate in Santa Cruz.
Guard Jeremy Lin will sign a deal in the NBA G League and play with the Golden State Warriors’ affiliate, Santa Cruz, as he pursues his NBA return, sources tell @TheAthleticNBA @Stadium.

Getting a chance to play in the G League is a start, and at least it's with a team that he's played for before.
Lin started his NBA career with the Warriors, playing in 29 games for them during the 2010-11 season. As an undrafted rookie, he also spent time in the D-League (which is now known as the G League), and now finds himself back there as a veteran hoping to prove he's worth another look.
In 480 career games, Lin is averaging 11.6 points, 4.3 assists and 2.8 rebounds.
He can still provide serviceable minutes in a bench role, and with the Warriors not looking as dominant given the massive hole left behind by Klay Thompson, it's possible Lin could play himself into a promotion if he impresses in the G League.
