The Utah Jazz go on the road to take on the Los Angeles Clippers in a do-or-die Game 6 showdown tonight. The Jazz must win to force Game 7 in this Western Conference Semifinals matchup, but they recently got a concerning injury update regarding star Donovan Mitchell's ankle.
Jazz News: Donovan Mitchell to be Game-Time Decision
Mitchell has been dealing with an ankle injury throughout the playoffs and it seems to have reared its ugly head once again. The 24-year-old guard is expected to go through warmups as a true game-time decision. The Jazz desperately need Mitchell to play as they lost their only playoff game without him back in Round 1.
It was obvious in Game 5 that Mitchell was being hampered because of his injury. He went just 6 of 19 from the field, including 4 of 14 from behind the 3-point line. Otherwise, Mitchell has been stellar in the playoffs averaging 31.6 points, 3.7 rebounds and 5.1 assists in 34 minutes played per game.
It seems likely Mitchell will attempt to play through the injury, but it could affect his explosiveness out on the court. On the positive side, it seems like Utah may get Mike Conley back for the first time this series as he works to return from a hamstring injury.
The Jazz are currently -136 moneyline favorites over the Clippers in Game 6 to go along with a -2.5 point spread, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
