The Philadelphia Eagles kicked off their 2020 NFL offseason by inking former Pittsburgh Steelers defensive tackle Javon Hargrave to a three-year, $39 million contract last week.

Hargrave seems excited to be staying in Pennsylvania, and Eagles fans have to love his attitude so far.

That's a callback to Jason Kelce's famous "hungry dogs run faster" speech from the Eagles' Super Bowl parade following their upset of the New England Patriots. That phrase has become a rally cry for the Eagles and their fans, and that kind of attitude is going to excite the Philly faithful.

Of course, Hargrave isn't all bite, either. He started 52 games for the Steelers across his first four NFL seasons, and he has really come into his own over the last two years. During that time he has racked up 10.5 sacks, 109 tackles and 14 quarterback hits.

He earned a terrific 83.4 overall grade from Pro Football Focus in 2019, grading out well both as a run defender and pass rusher as he helped anchor a Steelers defense that allowed the NFL's fifth-fewest points per game.

Playing next to one of the game's best defensive tackles in Fletcher Cox, Hargrave should have no trouble stepping in and making an immediate impact.
