Pittsburgh Steelers running back James Conner missed his second straight game in Week 10 as the Steelers took on the Los Angeles Rams. He is taking steps towards recovery from a shoulder injury, but his injury update hurts his fantasy outlook for Week 11 against the Browns.

The Steelers will head to Cleveland for "Thursday Night Football" this week, giving the team a short turnaround and Conner not much time to be ready. After not practicing on Thursday or Friday of last week, he was not especially close to returning in Week 10. Given the short turnaround for this game, we can expect the talented running back to be sidelined yet again.

Along with Conner being absent, the Steelers have also been without rookie running back Benny Snell, who was also not close to playing last week, as he is still recovering from a knee injury.

In both of their absences, the teams has turned to Jaylen Samuels to be the bell-cow back, while Trey Edmunds has been in the mix as well.

Samuels has totaled 38 touches (including 16 receptions) with Conner on the shelf over the past two games. This makes him a great option in PPR leagues if Conner sits out again on Thursday. Meanwhile, Edmunds has totaled 18 touches, making him a fringe FLEX option if you're thin on startable options in Week 11.

Accounting for Conner missing Thursday's game, Samuels sits at RB19 in our Week 11 PPR fantasy football rankings.
