There was action on the field before the football was even kicked off between the Green Bay Packers and Buffalo Bills on Sunday Night Football. Cornerback Jaire Alexander provided some context after the game as to why he and wide receiver Stefon Diggs got into a heated exchange during warmups.

Packers vs Bills Week 8

Video shows Diggs talking trash to Alexander as he runs alongside him during the Packers' entrance to Highmark Stadium. Alexander wouldn't dive into who exactly started the altercation, but did say he was "keeping it real" with Diggs and "just being honest" about what he thinks about the Buffalo star.

"I told him he couldn't mess with me. He a little boy. That's all that was."

Of course, both players stated that they "finished it" in their postgame comments despite never actually being matched up against one another. Alexander nabbed his second interception of the season on Sunday night, but he spent most of his time covering Gabriel Davis down the field.

Diggs logged 108 yards to go along with 1 touchdown on 6 catches (8 targets) in what was another dominant showing against the Packers. Since Alexander was drafted in 2018, Diggs has faced off against Green Bay five times, tallying an impressive 419 yards and 6 touchdowns on 27 receptions.

The Bills came out on top by a score of 27-17 in Week 8 and hold the No. 1 seed in the AFC. The loss sent the Packers to a 3-5 record as they continue to fight for positioning in the NFC North. Diggs may have gotten the last laugh for now, but it's become very clear that this budding rivalry is far from over.
