The Gulfstream Championship Meet continues Wednesday with 8 races and post time at 12:40 p.m. ET.

As always, check the program for scratches and changes, monitor the weather and keep an eye on the track conditions with a slight chance of rain.

(I will reference Equibase's Speed Figure in selected races, which tells you how fast a horse has been running in each of its races after adjusting for track, distances, and conditions).

Gulfstream Betting Picks

According to numberFire horse racing projections, these are the best bets to make at FanDuel Racing today.

1. Turn On the Charm and Karen's Honor, Race 2

FanDuel Racing Odds: 4/1 and 15/1

Race 2 is a Maiden Claimer for 3-year-old fillies at 7 furlongs. The numberFire algorithm projects Fedaline (9/2) to win ahead of Turn On the Charm (4/1) and longshot Karen's Honor (15/1).

A weaker group, but Turn On the Charm is healthy, strings races together and can settle from the outside No. 8 post. She missed the board last race at less than 3/1 odds, but finished third here in Jan.

2. Absolute Grit and Celestial Glaze, Race 6

FanDuel Racing Odds: 7/5 and 3/1

Race 6 is an Optional Claimer for older horses at 7 furlongs. The numberFire data picks the favorite Absolute Grit (7/5) to win with the meets top jockey Irad Ortiz, Jr. riding. Celestial Glaze (3/1) is projected to finish runner-up.

Absolute Grit hit the board here in three straight races plus a Grade 3 start last summer. In a minor stakes last month, he finished fourth but posted a solid 102 speed figure while holding steady in the stretch.

3. Double Clutch and Stat, Race 7

FanDuel Racing Odds: 12/1 and 4/1

Race 7 is the featured Allowance race for older horses at 1-mile on the turf. Former stablemates square off when Stat (4/1) and Freedom Matters (7/2) battle as the only two Florida-breds in the field of 11. But the numberFire data likes longshot Double Clutch (12/1) on the far outside with leading jockey Tyler Gaffalione riding.

Double Clutch has been facing graded stakes runners, and should do better in his second race off a layoff. He finishes second with a 100 speed figure last summer at Belmont, and is better placed in his second start at Gulfstream.
