Georgia Announces Exciting Starting QB For Week 12

The Georgia Bulldogs are coming off of a disappointing loss to SEC foe Florida on Nov. 7 that put a damper on the team's title hopes. Starting QB Stetson Bennett was initially knocked out of that game with an injury, but he was ultimately benched in the second half in favor of backup D'Wan Mathis, who also struggled.
Going into this week's matchup against Mississippi State, head coach Kirby Smart is ready to switch things up at quarterback, opting to start USC Trojans' transfer J.T. Daniels.
Sources: JT Daniels is expected to start at quarterback for Georgia against Mississippi State on Saturday.

With the struggles of both Bennett and Mathis, it has opened the door for the redshirt junior to take over a starting role once again.
Daniels joined the Bulldogs this season as a transfer from USC. The QB only appeared in 1 game for the Trojans after suffering a torn ACL during the 2019 season. In 2018 he played 11 games for USC, throwing for nearly 2,700 yards and 14 touchdowns as a freshman.
Daniels hasn't appeared in a game for the Bulldogs this season following his transfer, but the quarterback has earned first-team work in practice in preparation for his season debut. The 4-2 Bulldogs will need some outside help if they hope to catch 5-1 Florida in the SEC East.
