The Cleveland Browns have enjoyed some stability at head coach since Kevin Stefanski took over in 2020. Before that, though, Cleveland's HC position was like a revolving door, with Freddie Kitchens being the most recent man in charge before Stefanski.

Things haven't gone great for Kitchens since leaving the Browns, but he now has a new gig in the college ranks.

North Carolina is hiring Kitchens to be its new tight ends coach and run game coordinator, according to Matt Zenitz of on On3Sports. He will replace John Lilly on Mack Brown's Tar Heels staff.

Kitchens spent the 2022 season at the collegiate level as well as a senior analyst for South Carolina. That was his first job since being let go by the New York Giants, whom he spent two seasons with after being fired by Cleveland.

Kitchens' Browns era won't be remembered fondly. The team went just 6-10 during a disastrous 2019 campaign, ending the year on a three-game losing streak. The front office gave Kitchens the boot right after the season concluded.
