After opening as the co-favorite to win the 2019 FIFA Women's World Cup, and having the best odds to win prior to the tournament, Team USA has somehow fallen to the second-best odds (+260), behind Team France (+230), according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
Despite Team USA blowing out Thailand in its record-setting 13-0 win on Tuesday, and the team's odds improving from +300 to +260, the USWNT was leapfrogged as the favorite by host-country France. Team France opened group play with a 4-0 victory over South Korea.
