Last week we saw Paul Casey repeat as the winner of the Valspar Championship, and as the PGA Tour heads into Austin, TX for the WGC-Dell Technologies Match Play, could we see another repeat winner this week in Bubba Watson?
With 64 of the world's 66 top-ranked players in action this week, the field is as star studded as ever.
Let's take a look at some guys to look out for when putting together your fantasy team this week.
Bubba is the defending champion here and for good reason. Both the tournament format and course set-up fit perfectly with Bubba's powerful and creative style of play. Despite not having a fantastic start to the year, Bubba has turned it on of late and is coming off a T-4 at Copperhead last week.
McIlroy is having the most quietly consistent year of anyone on tour. In his six starts of 2019, he's finished no worse than T-6. He's also coming off a huge win at THE PLAYERS Championship two weeks ago. This course caters to big hitters and Rory is one of the biggest hitters on tour.
Fleetwood is another payer who has quietly experienced success of late, notching two recent top-five finishes at the Arnold Palmer Invitational (T-3) and at THE PLAYERS Championship (T-5). In terms of his match-play experience, Fleetwood dominated at the Ryder Cup last fall, going 4-0-0.
Koepka's first opponent in this tournament, Alex Noren, has had success in this tournament with back-to-back top-five finishes the last two years, but he's been struggling of late, which includes two straight missed cuts. Koepka himself has had success at this event in past years. He hasn't won at Austin CC yet, but he did come away with a T-5 and a T-9 in 2016 and 2017, respectively.
