With Olympic golf in the rearview, the PGA Tour is looking toward the St. Jude Invitational and field loaded with elite talent ready to take on TPC Southwind in Memphis, TN this week.
With that in mind, let's take a look at three players to target for your fantasy team this week.
St. Jude Invitational Fantasy
Collin Morikawa has been on a run for the ages over the past couple of months. He is currently on a run of four straight top-four finishes and six straight top-15 finishes, including a T-4 finish at the Olympics. He ranks No. 1 on tour in Strokes Gained (SG): Approach The Green, No. 1 in SG: Tee-To-Green and No. 7 in SG: Total. In his lone start at this event in 2020 he placed 20th. But with the form he's in at the start of this year's event, he should be in contention all week.
Justin Thomas isn't as hot as Morikawa coming into this event, but he is the defending champion here. Even in 2019 he still grabbed a T-12, so he clearly knows how to play well at TPC Southwind. On the season, Thomas ranks No. 5 in SG: Approach The Green, No. 10 in SG: Around-The-Green, No. 6 in SG: Tee-To-Green and No. 10 in SG: Total. Despite only grabbing one top-20 finish in his last three starts, Thomas is coming back to a place he's comfortable at, and that means a lot for tour players.
Similar to Thomas, Matthew Fitzpatrick isn't playing his best golf coming in, but has a great history at TPC Southwind. Fitzpatrick has finished T-6 and T-4 in his last two starts in this event, respectively. He also did finished T-10 three starts ago at the Palmetto Championship. On the season Fitzpatrick is No. 14 in SG: Off-The-Tee, No. 22 in SG: Putting, and No. 19 in SG: Total. Considering where Fitzpatrick is priced, he represents potential value for someone with such a good track record at this course.
