The new PGA Tour season continues on this week with the Shriners Children's Open in Las Vegas, NV.
Let's take a look at some golfers to consider when putting together your fantasy team this week.
Shriners Children's Open Fantasy
Brooks Koepka is all or nothing at this event in the past. His last four starts here have been CUT, 2nd place finish, CUT, 4th place finish. So by that trend, he's looking at another top-5 finish in 2021. Koepka had an up-and-down season, but ranked No. 7 on tour in Strokes Gained (SG): Off-The-Tee, No. 11 in SG: Tee-To-Green and No. 8 in SG: Total. Coming off being a part of the USA's big victory at the Ryder Cup
Will Zalatoris has gotten off to a solid start, finishing T-14 or T-11 in his last two starts. He also placed 5th last time this tournament was played. Early on in this 2022 season, Zalatoris ranks No. 28 in SG: Off-The-Tee, No. 11 in SG: Tee-To-Green and No. 10 SG: Total. His No. 5 rank in Green in Regulation should bode well here as well.
Louis Oosthuizen spent a good chunk of last season as one of the hottest golfers on tour. In eight starts form April to August, Oosthuizen finished top-10 in six of them. He also has two top-20 finishes out of his three events to close out the season, including a T-14 at the TOUR Championship. He placed 19th in this event last time he teed it up here. If he can roll over some of that magic he was experiencing last year on a course he has played well at in the past, we could see him near the top of the leaderboard on Sunday.
