After being questionable all week with a rib injury he sustained in the San Francisco 49ers' Week 10 loss to the Seattle Seahawks, Emmanuel Sanders is now expected to suit up today against the Arizona Cardinals.

Sanders joined the 49ers in Week 7 against the Washington Redskins, and immediately emerged as their top wide receiver. He had his best game against this same Cardinals team in Week 9, catching seven balls for a season-high 112 yards and one touchdown.

Sanders' insertion into the lineup enhances the outlook for quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo, who also had his best game of the season against the Cardinals, passing for 317 yards and four touchdowns. The news does damper the outlook for Deebo Samuel a little, but the rookie will still be a viable option against a Cardinals' defense giving up the ninth-most fantasy points to wide receivers. The 49ers will once again be without starting tight end George Kittle, leaving plenty of volume to go around for two wideouts to thrive.

For Sanders' fantasy owners excited to get him back in their lineups, just note that rib injuries are tricky as far as pain tolerance, and that his overall production may be hampered. There is also the chance that Sanders is out there merely as a decoy, which would strongly benefit Samuel and backup TE Ross Dwelley as the main beneficiaries in the San Fran passing game.

Having said that, the matchup is ideal for Sanders if he is indeed healthy enough to perform close to his usual level. He comes in as the 12th ranked WR in our Week 11 PPR rankings.
