Eloy Jimenez Injury Update is Disappointing News for White Sox

With Eloy Jimenez not placed on the IL yet, Chicago White Sox fans have had their fingers crossed that a return from his groin injury was imminent.
White Sox News: Eloy Jimenez Injury Update
Well he's now missing his fourth straight game on Sunday, and Tony La Russa has informed us that he's also not a guarantee to suit up for Tuesday's series opener against the Kansas City Royals.
As Eloy Jiménez continues a round of jogging and movement with trainer Brett Walker, Tony La Russa said it’s still not guaranteed he plays Tuesday. Also said, at this point, he did not expect Luis Robert for the Royals series.

Jimenez made an early exit with "groin tightness" on Wednesday, and the lack of transparency from La Russa and the team has to be frustrating for White Sox fans. By refusing to place Jimenez on the IL they're playing with a short bench, and with no timetable for a return announced it's not clear how long this will last.
Not making his season debut until July 26, Jimenez didn't waste much time making an impact, slugging a 3-run home run in the White Sox' 5-3 win over the Royals last Tuesday.
He was one of the team's most effective bats in 2020, slashing .296/.332/.559, and White Sox fans have to be anxious about getting a healthy Jimenez back in the lineup.
