The Philadelphia Eagles remained undefeated with a gritty 29-21 win over the Jacksonville Jaguars on Sunday, but the win certainly came at a cost. Five Eagles players went down with injury in the contest, including starting left tackle Jordan Mailata.

Philadelphia was quick to address this injury with its latest practice squad signing.

Jordan Mailata Injury Update

Mailata left the game in the first quarter after hurting his shoulder during an interception return for TD by Jaguars safety Andre Cisco. The left tackle ended up playing in just 7% of the offensive snaps and did not return.

On Monday, Mailata went for an MRI on his shoulder. According to Eagles insider Jeff McLane, the addition of Tyrese Robinson could be telling about the extent of Mailata's injury, although no timetable has been confirmed yet by Philadelphia's staff.

Eagles News

Robinson joins the Eagles as an undrafted free agent in 2022. He spent four seasons with the Oklahoma Sooners and enjoyed a successful senior campaign, earning second-team All-Big 12 honors from the Associated Press. He was also an honorable mention All-Big 12 candidate, per the coaches' vote.

In total, Robinson started 38 games for the Sooners during his collegiate tenure. He stands at 6-foot-3 and 324 pounds, a much smaller frame than the 6-foot-8, 365-pound Mailata.

For now, the Eagles remain the only undefeated team in football. They hold the third-bets odds (+750) to win Super Bowl 57 on FanDuel Sportsbook.
