The Philadelphia Eagles may be 9-1, but that doesn't mean they've stopped looking for ways to get better or gain an edge.

The Eagles continued to do that by beefing up their coaching staff this week, bringing on a former member of the Indianapolis Colts coaching staff.

Philadelphia has hired Indy's former offensive coordinator Marcus Brady as a consultant. Brady replaced current Eagles head coach Nick Sirianni as the Colts' offensive coordinator prior to the 2021 season but was fired on Nov. 1 this year following the team's slow start.

Brady already has an existing relationship with Sirianni after working together on Frank Reich's staff in Indianapolis from 2018-2020. A former quarterback, Brady worked as a quarterbacks coach during that time.

While Brady didn't have a ton of success with aging signal-callers Carson Wentz and Matt Ryan, he did oversee a potent running attack led by Jonathan Taylor. The Eagles also like to run the ball, ranking sixth in rushing yards per game, so perhaps Brady will have some valuable insight in that regard.

Brady will try to help Philadelphia maximize its talent on offense and remain Super Bowl contenders down the stretch. The Eagles currently have the third-best title odds (+550) on FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds.
