The NFC East is shaping up to be one of the lesser divisions in football this year, but someone still has to win it at the end of the season.

This year's division appears as though it will boil down to a two-team race between the Philadelphia Eagles and Dallas Cowboys, following tough starts by both the 0-5 New York Giants and the 1-4 Washington Football Team.

While the Eagles fell to 1-3-1 with a loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 5 and the Cowboys improved to first in the division after narrowly escaping an upset loss to the Giants with a 37-34 win, the Cowboys did suffer an extreme loss with an injury to starting QB Dak Prescott.

Odds to Win NFC East

Following these Week 5 results, the Cowboys do currently boast the best odds to win the division, according to FanDuel Sportsbook, with -120 odds, but the Eagles' aren't far behind at +130.

The Eagles also still have two remaining matchups against the same abysmal Giants team that nearly knocked off the Cowboys this Sunday, which could prove the difference in a tight race. However, even though Dallas has the top spot in the division for now, it's truly the Cowboys who have the biggest challenge ahead of them in the NFC East without Prescott in the picture.

As long as the Eagles can right the ship, they're in a great position to surpass the Cowboys for the top spot in the NFC East by season's end and the odds are already beginning to reflect that.
