Eagles Get Great News on Latest Zach Ertz Update

Veteran tight end Zach Ertz is back on the menu for this week's Monday Night Football matchup when the Philadelphia Eagles take on the Dallas Cowboys.
The ninth-year player was placed on the NFL's COVID-19 list on Monday after he tested positive for the virus, however, he was removed from it on Saturday. The league's COVID rules allow any vaccinated player to rejoin his team if he can produce two negative tests that are 24 hours apart.

Zach Ertz Update
After it looked like he was going to get traded this offseason, it seems as if Ertz and the Eagles are on the same page now that the 2021 NFL season is underway. Now that this COVID scare is behind him, the next step is to see if he has enough in the tank to bounce back from last year's disappointing performance.
From 2014 to 2019, Ertz was one of the NFL's best tight ends. That all changed last year when he finished the campaign with career lows in receiving yards (335), touchdowns (1) and catch percentage (50.0%).
He's had a slow start to the 2021 campaign, catching three of his four targets for 40 yards. Nevertheless, he did exit Week 1's victory with a hamstring injury, so perhaps he'll look more like his old self once that issue is fully healed.
Even with Ertz back in the lineup, the Eagles will enter Monday's game as the 3-point underdog against the Cowboys, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
