From the opinion of Philadelphia Eagles fans in the last week, you'd expect the franchise to be on the brink of total collapse. However, the Eagles still have a franchise quarterback in Carson Wentz and an experienced roster that surged to an NFC East title last year.

The odds at FanDuel Sportsbook are currently quite disrespectful, especially considering there is a third wild-card spot in play. While Eagles fans were in uproar over their picks in the 2020 NFL Draft, particularly the selection of Jalen Hurts in the second round, Philadelphia has much to look forward to in the short-term.

Eagles' Odds to Make the Playoffs

Philadelphia currently has -174 odds to make the playoffs next year, the second-best odds in the NFC East. The Dallas Cowboys are the current division leaders at -225.

Although those odds favor the Eagles to make the playoffs, it's strange to see them well behind the Cowboys, especially considering the New York Giants and Washington Redskins are also so far behind. The Eagles will continue to benefit from a weak division. They also added a number of low-cost free agents and traded for star cornerback Darius Slay, all while suffering few losses this offseason. Veteran left tackle Jason Peters, once set to be out the door, is now rumored to be on his way back to Philadelphia.

While their failure to address some needs in the draft was a problem, the Eagles are still in great position to succeed in 2020.
