Drew Waters Wants Zack Greinke to Pay Up After Winning Their Bet

When Drew Waters was called up to the Kansas City Royals a few weeks ago, he came with high expectations for a team clearly going through a rebuild and a youth movement.
When he first arrived in the big leagues, veteran Zack Greinke made a bet with the 23-year-old outfielder. Greinke bet Waters tat he wouldn't hit a home run before the end of the season in the majors.
Zack Greinke Drew Waters Bet
Well, Monday night, Waters did just that, belting a two-run dinger in the fifth inning. And when he was running around the bases he wasn't thinking about the home run, or how amazing of an accomplishment his first big league bomb was. He apparently only had had one thing on his mind... Greinke's $100.
Drew Waters said Zack Greinke bet him shortly after he was called up that he wouldn't hit a homer with KC this season. When Waters went deep tonight, Greinke was the first person he was looking for. Waters' thoughts as he ran the bases?

"I just got Zack Greinke's 100 bucks."
Greinke didn't fork over the cash right away, but he did make it clear he knew he owed Waters his end of the wager.
Waters, smiling, said that Greinke hasn't paid up yet, but Greinke did mention the payment: "He was like, 'That's awesome. Nice swing.' He said, 'I owe you.' So that was good."

I wouldn't be too worried if I was Waters. Greinke has earned nine-figures throughout his career, he surely won't have an issue coming up with $100. If I'm Waters i don't even spend it, that's something you put away or frame and story to tell the grandkids. Maybe Greinke will even sign it for him.
