Dolphins Add Several Big Names to Head Coach Interview List

The Miami Dolphins pulled off a surprising move on 'Black Monday' when they fired former head coach Brian Flores despite his 19-14 record over the past two seasons. Fast forward to just over 24 hours later and Miami has already expanded its head coach interview list with several big names.

Four teams have sent out interview slips so far, and DQ is on all four lists.
Dolphins Head Coach 2022
According to NFL insider Tom Pelissero, the Dolphins have requested an interview with Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Dan Quinn. The former Atlanta Falcons head coach has been involved in the league for over 20 years now and helped the Cowboys have the seventh-best scoring defense this season.
Another candidate that the Dolphins have reached out to is San Francisco 49ers offensive coordinator Mike McDaniel. The 38-year-old is one of the key cogs behind the 49ers' dynamic offense, which is attractive to a Dolphins team that had a near-bottom-10 offense this year.

Bills OC Brian Daboll is another candidate that Miami has reached out to, according to the NFL Network's Ian Rapoport. Daboll has been with Buffalo since 2018, however, he was a part of Bill Belichick's coaching staff in the early 2000s. So, he'd bring both championship experience and an offensive mind to Miami.
Clearly, the Dolphins have a solid variety to change from when it comes to head coach candidates. Hopefully, whoever they go with helps them return to the playoffs for the first time since 2016.
