The Los Angeles Dodgers have been without their star shortstop Corey Seager since May 18 when he suffered a hand injury. However, they might not have to be without him much longer.

According to manager Dave Roberts, the team expects Seager to be back in the lineup sometime in early July, which is not too far from now.

Corey Seager Injury Update

Seager is expected to begin rehab assignments as June comes to a close and will get back to 100% by the time he returns to the Dodgers' lineup.

Seager will be a welcomed addition back into the Dodgers lineup both at the plate and in the field. He was hitting .265 with 4 home runs and 22 RBIs in 37 games prior to the injury.

The Dodgers currently sit in second place in the NL West, tied with the San Diego Padres after being swept by them at Petco Park, 4.5 games back of the San Francisco Giants.

Despite trailing in the division, the Dodgers remain the favorites to win the 2021 World Series at +380, according to FanDuel Sportsbook's latest MLB odds.
