David Njoku requested a trade last offseason, though the Cleveland Browns elected not to move the talented tight end. But with no dead money remaining on his deal and a host of solid tight ends on the roster, it wouldn't be too surprising to see Cleveland move on this offseason.

If the Browns decide to move on this offseason, here are the three most likely trade destinations for Njoku.

David Njoku Trade Rumors

3. New England Patriots

The New England Patriots need help all over the skill-position group, but tight end might be the weakest part of that unit. No Patriots' tight end reached even 200 receiving yards last season. A trade for Njoku would improve the position in a hurry, and the Patriots can part with one of their many mid-round picks to land the tight end.

2. Jacksonville Jaguars

The Jacksonville Jaguars just declined Tyler Eifert's 2021 option, leaving them without a viable starter at tight end. While there are a few good options available in free agency, like Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry, Njoku might have the highest ceiling. And at just 24 years old, he's an excellent fit for this young team's timeline.

1. Carolina Panthers

Adding David Njoku would give the Carolina Panthers a truly dangerous skill-position group. They'd be trotting out DJ Moore, Robby Anderson, Njoku, Christian McCaffrey and Curtis Samuel (if he re-signs). That's a serious group of athletic talent without many redundancies. With $38 million in cap space, Carolina should be able to take on Njoku for a mid-round pick. If the Panthers also manage to find their QB of the future, this offense will surprise some people in 2021.
