Darius Bazley Stats

Bazley is a gifted athlete who is a slasher and capable jump shooter. He is also a decent low post scorer, rebounder and defender, making him one of the more versatile forwards in the draft. Bazley's length has also allowed him to be an effective shot blocker, often matched up with smaller forwards.

Bazley decided not to attend Syracuse or play in the G-League, but instead train all year for the NBA Draft. Because of this, the five-star recruit does carry with him a lot of mystery. He also has a small frame, which will prevent him from doing much damage down low at the next level.

Darius Bazley NBA Draft Predictions

Golden State Warriors (No. 28) or San Antonio Spurs (No. 29)

Bazley will likely not become the top scorer on the team, which is alright on the Warriors. There, he will be able to thrive as a complementary player to the stars already on the roster. The Warriors need outside shooting threats bad, and Bazley can bring that at the forward position. He will also be able to fill a void, whether the Warriors re-sign Durant and he's out for the year with the Achilles injury or he chooses to leave Golden State in free agency.

Bazley just recently turned 19 and is a raw player. He is blessed with potential and versatility, which can be taken to the next level by Greg Popovich and this Spurs staff. Much like the Warriors, the Spurs need scoring, especially from the forward position. He will also be a complementary player to the likes of DeMar DeRozan and LaMarcus Aldridge, opening up shots and allowing Bazley to float.
