The Las Vegas Raiders are one of the early surprises to start the 2021 NFL season. They pulled out an impressive overtime win over the Baltimore Ravens to begin the year, then took down the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 2.

Maxx Crosby earned AFC Player of the Week honors after the Ravens win, and now another Raider has earned recognition following the victory over Pittsburgh.

Daniel Carlson Raiders

Kicker Daniel Carlson has been named AFC Special Teams Player of the Week following his standout performance in Week 2.

Carlson's efforts were vital to the Raiders' road win against the Steelers. He was a perfect 4-of-4 on field goals and chipped in both of his PAT attempts to help Las Vegas remain undefeated.

The 26-year-old is off to a hot start, hitting all 6 of his field goals and all 5 of his PATs over the first two weeks.

The Raiders may rely on Carlson's leg again in Week 3 with injuries impacting the offense. Las Vegas is a 3.5-point favorite over the Miami Dolphins entering Sunday's contest, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
