Dan Campbell Makes Hilarious Comment on Saints Interest in Aaron Glenn

Head coach Dan Campbell is doing his best to turn around a Detroit Lions franchise that has never won the Super Bowl and he is having a fun time doing so. He recently got a laugh out of reporters when he provided some unique insight on his mindset about defensive coordinator Aaron Glenn.

Campbell said not having Glenn on the sidelines with him would be like "walking around without any pants on." The Detroit DC was rumored to be in the running for the New Orleans Saints head coaching gig this offseason. Of course, that job ended up going to Dennis Allen instead.
The Lions head coach made sure to explain that he would've been happy for Glenn if that's how it went down, but the level of familiarity on defense is much appreciated. Detroit's defense improved as the 2021 season went on and then added six new names to the roster through the NFL Draft.
One of those names happens to be defensive end Aidan Hutchinson. The Michigan product will look to make an immediate impact at the next level after racking up 14.0 sacks and 2 forced fumbles in his senior season.
This isn't going to be the only time that Glenn's name is brought up in head coaching searches considering his front office experience and ability to command respect from his players. For now, the Lions have odds set at +370 to make the playoffs, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
