Dameon Pierce's fantasy outlook got a boost for Week 4 with an encouraging injury update on Thursday.

While the Houston Texans running back was limited at Wednesday's practice by a hip injury, he returned to practice on Thursday and reports indicate that his injury doesn't seem to be overly serious.

Dameon Pierce Injury Update

This is good news for Pierce's fantasy managers, especially after he exploded for 101 total yards and a touchdown against the Chicago Bears in Week 3. Pierce's fantasy stock has been trending up as his carries and rushing yards have increased every week so far, so it doesn't look like his hip issue is going to derail that momentum.

Dameon Pierce Fantasy Outlook

The 22-year-old rookie has emerged as as possible fantasy football's breakout stars during the first month of the season, establishing himself as Houston's top running back in the early going. He's already racked up 217 yards from scrimmage in his first three career games despite fumbling twice, so his numbers could continue to climb as he gets more comfortable in the Texans' offense.

Despite the ball security issues, Pierce checks in as the No. 19 running back on The Duel's rest-of-season fantasy rankings.

Barring any setbacks, the fourth-round draft pick figures to be heavily involved again versus the Los Angeles Chargers in Week 4. The Chargers' defense is banged up and just surrendered 38 points to the Jacksonville Jaguars, including 151 yards and a touchdown on the ground. Assuming he's good to go, Pierce appears poised for another productive fantasy outing on Sunday.
