After showing flashes of potential through his first two seasons in the NFL, Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has been held back only by injuries. With good health in 2019, Cook has been among the best running backs in the league and has firmly established himself in the elite tier with an early Week 3 touchdown against the Oakland Raiders.

Through the first two weeks of the NFL season, Cook led the league in rushing yards with 265 (averaging 6.5 per carry) while also scoring three touchdowns. Cook also contributed in the passing game, with five catches for 46 yards. He has been the top running back in standard scoring fantasy leagues, averaging 27 fantasy points per game.

In his Week 3 matchup with the Raiders at home, he scored his fourth touchdown of the season at the beginning of the second quarter, becoming the first player of the season to hit four rushing touchdowns.

With the Vikings' strong commitment to the run and Cook being healthy so far this season, he finds himself among the fantasy football elite. If he stays healthy, he will have a real shot at winning the rushing title this season.

Cook ranked fourth at RB in our Week 3 fantasy football rankings, and he's showing all the signs of continuing to be a top-five fantasy back for the remainder of the season.
