The Indianapolis Colts will be without veteran wide receiver T.Y. Hilton when they face the San Francisco 49ers in Week 7's Sunday Night Football matchup.
Hilton suffered a quadriceps injury during last week's 31-3 victory over the Houston Texans. He missed all three days of practice this week, so his absence isn't too surprising.
T.Y. Hilton Injury Update
Hilton was looking great against the Texans before his injury struck. He had caught all four of his targets, turning them into 80 yards.
The hope is that Hilton can quickly put this injury behind him and pick up from where he left off. He had already missed the first five games of the season recovering from offseason neck surgery.
In the meantime, Michael Pittman Jr. will continue being the Colts' No. 1 wideout. His 31 receptions and 403 receiving yards are the most on the team, and he also has a touchdown to boot. Zach Pascal has also seen a prominent role in Hilton's absence, catching 18 balls for 204 yards and a trio of TDs.
The passing game may not be a factor for either team on Sunday, though. Heavy rain and winds gusting up to 40 miles per hour are in Santa Clara's forecast for the Colts-49ers matchup.
Indianapolis is currently the 4.5-point underdog against San Francisco, according to FanDuel Sportsbook.
