After blowing a lead in Week 6 against the Indianapolis Colts, the Cincinnati Bengals should begin playing for the long term, making decisions that will help them down the road. With the trade deadline approaching, the Bengals have assets that would be wise to move, acquiring some sort of draft capital for them to continue building for the future around Joe Burrow.

With that in mind, these are three Bengals who could be traded before the deadline.

1. A.J. Green, WR

The obvious top name would be veteran wide receiver A.J. Green. He has been ineffective this season, totaling just 215 yards in six games. The cameras also caught him on the sidelines saying the team should trade him. With plenty of young talent at the WR position in Cincinnati, Green will likely be actively shopped around the league, while he is still healthy.

2. William Jackson, CB

William Jackson is a solid cornerback that has held passers to under a 60 percent completion rate in all three seasons when targeted. Through six games, he has allowed just 163 yards on 27 targets. He is on the final year of his contract, so Cincinnati should trade him, especially if they don't expect to re-sign him this offseason.

3. John Ross, WR

John Ross is another player on an expiring contract. Drafted ninth overall in 2017, the expectations have been high for the speedy receiver. However, through injuries and other issues, he has disappointed. While he did total 506 yards in eight games last season, he has just 17 yards this year, being a healthy scratch more than once. If he is not in their plans going forward, they may as well shop him and see if there is a team that still believes in his potential.
