Don't look now, but the Kansas City Chiefs have won six games in a row and are looking like a true contender to win Super Bowl LVI. Despite all of the success, there's always room for football teams to improve and that's why Chiefs fans will love Todd McShay's first 2022 NFL mock draft.

McShay sees the Chiefs adding some more offensive firepower in the form of a talented wide receiver from Penn State.

Chiefs Mock Draft

McShay projects Kansas City to select Penn State wideout Jahan Dotson at No. 29 overall. He would join a wide receiver corps that only has Tyreek Hill and Mecole Hardman currently signed under contract past this season.

Dotson stands at 5-foot-10 and 185 pounds, but his speed and open-field playmaking skills remind us tremendously of Hill. The leading Nittany Lions receiver racked up 91 receptions for 1,182 yards and 12 touchdowns during his senior campaign. Both his 91 receptions and 12 TDs rank top-10 across all pass-catchers in college football.

Kansas City ranks top-10 in points scored (27.0), total yards (389.6) and passing yards (277.9) per game, but the franchise clearly understands the importance of surrounding Patrick Mahomes with playmakers.

Currently, the Chiefs hold the second-best odds (+550) to take home the Lombardi Trophy on FanDuel Sportsbook.
