Chargers Fans Salty Over Drue Tranquill's Comments on Chiefs

After years of playing against the Kansas City Chiefs, linebacker Drue Tranquill joined the defending Super Bowl champions this offseason. Tranquill's decision has left Los Angeles Chargers fans feeling some type of way after his departure for a divisional rival.
It's safe to say they aren't over it, either, judging by the response to Tranquill's latest comments.

In a video welcoming the veteran defender to KC, he mentioned how he was excited to run out "on the right side of the field" after being a visitor for years.
Chargers fans did not take it well, with one reply to the tweet saying Tranquill would only be "LB3 and a special teamer" with the Chiefs. Another claimed he'll be "on the bench" watching Justin Herbert "put up 300 on him."
The salt appears to be running rampant in L.A. Tranquill's comments were nothing out of the ordinary for a player joining a new squad, but fans of his old team seem to have taken it personally.
All of this sets the stage for what should be a very intriguing homecoming for Tranquill when the Chiefs and Chargers square off in 2023. Following his move, it'd be no surprise to see the LB make sure he shows up against L.A.
