Celtics NBA Championship Odds Plummet After Jaylen Brown Injury

It has been a season of ups and downs for the Boston Celtics. They've struggled to look like a true playoff contender after making the Eastern Conference Finals in two of the last three seasons.
Now Boston's year looks officially over. Star guard/forward Jaylen Brown will have season-ending wrist surgery after suffering a torn ligament. The current 7th-seeded Celtics look like they would've struggled in the play-in tournament even with Brown, and his absence takes away any hope of them turning it around.
The Celtics' NBA championship odds on FanDuel Sportsbook have plummeted in the aftermath of Brown's injury.
The Celtics say Jaylen Brown is out for the rest of the season with a torn ligament in his wrist. Devastating news for Boston, and all but ends any hopes the Celtics have of doing anything in the playoffs.

Celtics NBA Championship Odds
Boston was already a long shot at +8500 only a couple of days ago, but they've now fallen to +13000 after the Brown news.
The Celtics' odds even before the injury showcase their struggles to contend this season. They sit at 35-33 and are likely headed to the play-in tournament after being a top team in the East for the past several years.
It's a disappointing end to Brown's stellar year. He was averaging career highs in points (24.7), assists (3.4) and 3-point shooting (39.7%).
The future is bright for Brown after his first All-Star nod this season, but Boston has issues it needs to fix in order to get back to contention.
