While the MLB offseason is just getting underway, and a number of players don't even know what team they will be playing for next season, some do know they will be representing their home country in the World Baseball Classic.
One player who does know where he's playing next year is veteran Adam Wainwright, who signed a one-year contract to return to the St. Louis Cardinals, in what will probably be his final season.
Wainwright is also one of the players rumored to be pitching for the United States in MArch's World Baseball Classic.
Wainwright proved last season, even at an advanced age, he can still be effective, which is exacctly why he didnt retire. What he can bring to a USA WBC team is so much more than that though, he can bring so much experience and leadership to that clubhouse.
It will be interesting to see how this roster shakes out, but Wainwright would be an awesome addition.
