Buccaneers Get Great News on Tom Brady Knee Injury
By Max Staley
Tom Brady capped off one of the most impressive seasons of his career with a Super Bowl win in 2021. His 4,633 passing yards were the most we've seen him record since 2015, and his 40 touchdowns were the second-best mark of his career.
And he did all that while apparently playing through a mysterious knee injury, which Brady recently went under the knife to get fixed this offseason. Thankfully, Tampa Bay Buccaneers' general manager Jason Licht provided a really encouraging update about the GOAT's status.
I talked to him last week... I know things are going well. I don't want to put an exact timeline on it right now because I don't want to set expectations one way or the other, but I know that things are going very well.- Jason Licht
Fans were surely hoping to get a concrete timeline for his recovery, but at least it sounds like things are trending in the right direction. At this point, it's looking very likely that Brady will be back to full strength in time for the team's offseason program.
With a healthy Brady leading the way, Tampa Bay should be right back in Super Bowl contention next year. FanDuel Sportsbook gives the Bucs the second-best Super Bowl odds (+800), trailing only the Kansas City Chiefs (+500).
