Notre Dame linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah became one of the biggest stories of the 2021 NFL Draft as he fell past the first round. Concerns around a possible heart issue scared most teams off late in the draft process. However, the Cleveland Browns capitalized on his tumble and traded up to select Owusu-Koramoah in the second round.

They've received a great medical update on their new defensive playmaker in the days following the draft.

Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah Heart

Owusu-Koramoah clarified that he doesn't have a major heart issue, despite the rumors regarding that which ultimately tanked his draft stock. He was a likely first-round pick who fell to the latter half of the second round as a result.

With the questions regarding his heart answered, the Browns appear to have a steal on their hands. They landed a first-round talent late in the second round and didn't need to spend major draft capital to do so.

Owusu-Koramoah starred at Notre Dame as a junior senior, racking up 24.5 tackles for loss, 7.0 sacks, 7 passes defensed, 5 force fumbles (including a TD return) and 1 INT over his last two college seasons. Now Cleveland will add the 6-foot-1, 221-pound defensive force to an already strong unit and bolster their Super Bowl hopes in 2021.
