Cleveland Browns fans had to wait a long time, but they were able to see their team make the playoffs last season for the first time since 2002. The Browns will be motivated to keep that momentum going into 2021 and prove it wasn't just a fluke occurrence.
Fans will love the team's 2021 projected win total, too. The over/under is currently set at 10.5, according to NFL future odds posted on FanDuel Sportsbook. The odds on the over are +100 and the odds on the under are -120.
Browns Projected Win Total
The mark of 10.5 is tied for the fourth-highest total in the league behind just the Kansas City Chiefs, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Baltimore Ravens. With a 17-game schedule set to be implemented, the Browns will have to finish with a record of 11-6 or better to cash the over.
Cleveland had been dreadful during over the past decade or so, but it seems like the team finally has the pieces to compete in the AFC. Two-time Pro Bowler Myles Garrett is set to lead a defense that brought in even more talent this offseason in Jadeveon Clowney and John Johnson III.
However, it is on offense where the Browns have really thrived. The one-two punch of running backs Nick Chubb and Kareem Hunt allowed the team to rank No. 4 in the league in rushing yards per game last season (145.2. Plus, Quarterback Baker Mayfield (27 total touchdowns in 2020) continues to improve.
All things considered, there is no reason the Browns cannot replicate their success from last season and become a legitimate Super Bowl threat in 2021. Cleveland fans should be beyond excited for September to come around.
