Broncos Super Bowl Odds Skyrocket After Trading for Russell Wilson

After what has felt like years of being rumored to be in the market for top quarterbacks, the Denver Broncos have finally made a splash. It may not be Aaron Rodgers, but they did just trade for another one of the NFL's best quarterbacks by acquiring Russell Wilson from the Seattle Seahawks.
With an elite quarterback's ability to entirely transform a football team, the Broncos' Super Bowl odds have skyrocketed on FanDuel Sportsbook. They jumped immediately from +2200 when they were already rumored to be in the running for Aaron Rodgers to +1300 following the Wilson news.
Blockbuster: After weeks of negotiations, in one of the largest trades in NFL history, the Seattle Seahawks and Denver Broncos have agreed to terms for a deal involving Super-Bowl winning QB Russell Wilson, sources tell ESPN.

Denver fans know exactly how quickly a quarterback can change their fortunes. After making the playoffs once in a six-year stretch from 2006 to 2011, Peyton Manning came to down and brought them to two Super Bowl appearances (and one win) in his four seasons.
Russ may not be Peyton Manning, but he's pretty damn good.
Despite playing behind one of the worst offensive lines in the NFL for most of his career, as well as having a head coach who refused to emphasize the passing game, Wilson has made nine Pro Bowls in his 10 NFL seasons. He's also tossed 30-plus touchdowns in four of the last five years while going over 4,000 yards in two of the last three. The last time Wilson had a passer rating below 100 in a season was back in 2017, when he still led the NFL in TD passes.
The Broncos already had a formidable defense. They already had a wealth of exciting young playmakers between Jerry Jeudy, Javonte Williams, Courtland Sutton and Noah Fant. And now they have a franchise QB.
There's a reason they are now tied for the fifth-best odds to win the Super Bowl among all teams.
