The majority of NFL teams have already begun their 2022 season, leaving the Denver Broncos vs. Seattle Seahawks Monday Night Football matchup as the final Week 1 game. FanDuel Sportsbook's NFL odds currently list the Broncos as 6.5-point road favorites over the Seahawks hours before kickoff.

A Denver win is looking even more likely after the team received a pair of positive injury updates on Monday regarding wideout KJ Hamler and outside linebacker Randy Gregory.

KJ Hamler Injury Update

NFL Network's James Palmer reports that Hamler "is expected to play" against the Seahawks on Monday. The third-year wideout, who's been dealing with knee and hip injuries, says that "he feels every bit himself" ahead of the opening-week tilt.

With fellow wide receiver Tim Patrick's season over before it began, the Broncos are counting on Hamler to produce as the No. 3 WR behind Jerry Jeudy and Courtland Sutton. The oft-injured pass-catcher has 35 receptions for 455 yards and three touchdowns in 16 career games (six starts).

Assuming he stays healthy, Hamler's speed can make a world of difference in Denver's offense. Considering that he clocked in at 21.38 mph during the preseason, it's safe to say that the former Penn State product has a good chance of breaking out.

Randy Gregory Injury Update

Like Hamler, Gregory is also expected to play against the Seahawks, according to Palmer. The 29-year-old defender underwent shoulder surgery back in March before beginning training camp on the PUP list. He ended up practicing last week but was listed as questionable heading into Monday.

The Broncos have high expectations for Gregory after inking him to a five-year, $70 million contract this offseason. The former 2015 second-round pick was solid for the Dallas Cowboys in 2021, recording 19 tackles, six sacks, three forced fumbles and his first career interception.

Denver's LB room will already be a bit weaker on Monday due to Josey Jewell's absence. Needless to say, Gregory is being counted on to step up to help deliver a road victory in primetime.
